A distinguished UHNW family based in Monaco is seeking an exceptional Montessori-trained Governess to oversee the education and holistic development of their young daughter.
This is a fully staffed household requiring a polished, highly educated, and discreet professional who can deliver a bespoke, child-led educational programme within a private home setting, with seamless continuity during international travel.
The Role
The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the child’s academic and developmental journey, working closely with the family to design and implement a tailored Montessori curriculum. The role requires a balance of structure and creativity, ensuring an engaging, consistent, and enriching learning environment both in residence and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a bespoke Montessori-led educational programme aligned with the child’s developmental stage
- Lead and manage full-time home-schooling provision, with potential continuation long-term
- Cultivate a bilingual learning environment (English & French) through both formal instruction and natural immersion
- Ensure educational continuity during frequent international travel
- Organise culturally enriching activities, excursions, and experiences
- Track progress and provide thoughtful feedback to the principals
- Liaise, where appropriate, with external educators or specialists
Candidate Profile
- Montessori teaching qualification (essential)
- Fluent in English and French (native-level proficiency preferred)
- Extensive experience within UHNW private households or elite educational settings
- Proven track record in home-schooling and early years education
- Polished, discreet, and emotionally intelligent
- Highly adaptable, resourceful, and accustomed to international travel
- Confident working within a fully staffed, formal household environment
